On October 15th, Britannia Lanes’ regional competition winners enjoyed participating in its first ever interior design day with Naomi Cleaver.

Held at Combe House Hotel in Devon, the master class looked at how to read your house (assessing both the good and bad points), household needs, creating a design brief and developing ideas and concepts.

Students were tasked with interactive projects throughout to test their newly acquired skills and Ivan Jordan, Chair of RIBA SW, delivered an informative session on how to get the best out of the trades and offered an overview on planning permission and building regulations.

Rob Lane said: "The day was a huge success - great hotel, great weather and great tutors. Naomi delivered the course in a really relaxed manner and the students seemed to enjoy getting stuck into the mini projects."
