Robert Syers General Secretary of BAR retires.
In his last article for the Removals and Storage magazine Robert gives an insight on the changes for the Removals Industry over the last 13 years.
He writes the most far reaching change must surely be the IT explosion. Thirteen years ago neither BAR nor the majority of its members had internet access and e-mail as means of business communication. Now it is impossible to imagine life without it. Today there are 1.67 billion users about a quarter of today's population and growing by the day.
Britannia Lanes would like to thank Robert Syers for all that he has achieved for BAR and its members during his 13 years as General Secretary, we wish him and Laura a very happy retirement.
