Lanes removals was started in Cornwall in 1974. This depot is run by Mark Lane and his wife Julie, together with the third generation Sarah and Matt Lane.
Lanes Storage & Removals Ltd joined Britannia Movers International in 1986 and became the Britannia member for Cornwall and Plymouth. Mark Lane has been director of Britannia Movers International since 2007 and MD of Britannia Lanes Group since 2008. Britannia Lanes are a member of the British Association of Removers (BAR).

We carry out furniture removals within Cornwall or long distance moves out of the county to any destination in the UK. If you are looking to relocate to Cornwall we are the "Cornish experts". We understand many deliveries in Cornwall will have access issues. We will check this in advance of your removal. The success of any removal is in the planning.
Survey
Our pre-move surveyor will arrange to visit you at home. He will complete a comprehensive pre-move survey so that we can advise you of the most appropriate personal moving plan for you. Our quotations include our "menu" of removal services that allow you to personalise your move to your needs. We incorporate specialist packing of china and glass, packing of non-fragile effects, packing of antiques, export packing and specialist crating and handling of high value or awkward items.
For any customers looking to move into the southwest we can offer a video survey which is provided through an easy to use app on your smart phone or tablet. Not only will this save you time filling in online forms but it enables us to complete an accurate survey, as if we had visited your home.

We can offer you full or part packing services, specialist packing of artwork or unusual/valuable items using techniques such as export packing and or crating.
If you need to store your effects you can choose to use either our container storage or our self storage facilities. We are located just outside of Truro on the A390. This purpose built storage facility offers all the protection and security you need for your effects, summer or winter. To compliment our self storage facilities we also offer four different self drive vans to hire.
Britannia Lanes of Cornwall also carry out removals into Europe with many destinations such as France, Spain and Germany benefiting from monthly or even weekly schedules. For our customers that are moving further afield we offer worldwide shipping services through Britannia Movers International. We offer both sea or air services. We do not just ship to the main destinations such as Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada and South Africa but have access to 20,000 shipping destinations. This is all backed up by a team of overseas experts at the BMI headquarters in South London.
