Answer: if you are moving locally (one day move) you can leave the contents in the baskets, please bag any loose item. The freezer will be loaded as one of the last items. The crew will remove the baskets and or bags put the freezer on to the van and then put the food back inside it. Normal on a local move the delivery will take place within an hour or two. Once the freezer is in situ at the new property give it an hour or two for the gasses to settle and then you can turn the power on. For long distance moves you are advised to use up any frozen food defrost the freezer at least a couple days before the move and dry out any defrosted water. Answer: I see that you have used our removal price calculator to get a guide price. Your guide price is for a moving a 3 bed property between 201 miles and 250 miles. Cornwall to Wiltshire. There was 4 guide prices given based on different amounts of items to be moved. For a small quantity of items £966.00 med amount of items £1317.00 a large amount of items £1474.00 and an extra large amount of items £16252.00. The small quantity would probably be for 1 person moving with a lot of fitted furniture not going and no outside effects. The extra large would probably be for a family of 5 including 3 children in their late teens with lots of stuff. Also they would probably have a double garage full, contents from a shed, a conservatory and maybe a separate office. So you can see both moves are from a 3 bedroom property moving the same distance but will be completely different in the size and complexity. We offer a guide price without asking you having to enter a lot of information and then it is up to you to decide which one of the 4 sizes is appropriate for you. The access within the property, are the items to be moved within a normal ground and first floor property or are they on a third floor property with on lift. Items that are perishable such as food stuffs, flammable items such as petrol, white spirt, contraband, livestock, fire arms, items that give off odours. We would also suggest that items of high value such money jewellery stamp and coin collections and bonds are not stored with us. They are not excluded but you cannot get insurance on these items. On larger moves 65cm and over, which are moving locally less than 10 miles, the timings are very important and can impact on the cost of your move. If you have access to both properties at the same time (normally if one or both of the properties are rented) we can use a couple of crews with two small/medium size vans and move one room at a time, sometimes this means the move can be completed in one day. If you do not have access to both properties on the same day (all day) we can load 80% onto a large van with a shuttle van if required, and then on day two we can load the remainder in the morning and carry out the delivery in the afternoon. Answer: None of the units need a fork lift to be accessed. We have trolleys available and 2 lifts for the units on the first and second floor. We can arrange for palletised goods to be fork lifted off a vehicle.
