Driving licences dvla renewal dvla running

Hi both my husband and my driving licences are with the DVLA for renewal. The DVLA is running massively behind and already had our applications for several months. Can we use out old licences as proof or can we not rent a van until the new renewed licence is received? Kind regards Kelly MItchell
Unfortunately We are unable to process a rental without a physical driving licence. Do you have a family member or a friend can drive for you? Regards Mark Lane.
