It is never too early to call one of our branches to request a quotation to move your effects. We will arrange for one of our trained pre-move surveyors to visit you at your home. They will complete a comprehensive pre-move survey so that we can advise you of the most appropriate personal moving plan for you.

When you move, the importance of a survey should not be overlooked. It really is an essential factor in ensuring your move runs smoothly from start to finish. The survey is not just a means of finding out how much the move will cost. It gives you an ideal opportunity to find out so much about the moving process and the company you are entrusting with your furniture and effects.
When our surveyor arrives it will be necessary for them to be made aware of all items that are to be moved, so that a list can be compiled and the total volume calculated. Please show the surveyor everything (including the loft, basement, garage, shed and cupboard contents). Also, any special requirements you have will need to be discussed.
Video Survey
For any customers looking to move into the southwest we can offer a video survey which is provided through an easy to use app on your smart phone or tablet. Not only will this save you time filling in online forms but enables us to complete an accurate survey, as if we had visited your home.
Packing
Britannia Lanes offer a full packing service using the latest purpose made materials and traditional skills to ensure the safest possible journey for your belongings. Packing is a specialist skill, so we always recommend that you leave it to our professional staff.
Our staff can pack china into purpose made cartons using the appropriate white paper, tissue paper, and flow-pack where required. Miscellaneous effects such as toys, oddments, shoes and books will be packed into pack 2 cartons and book cartons respectively.

Specialists
Our removers are experts in moving unusual, bulky, fragile and valuable items. We will load and transport your belongings using specialised equipment. You can be sure that we will look after everything, from your glass and chinaware to a grandfather clock or a grand piano. We will even move your houseplants for you!
Whichever service you choose, our removers wrap every piece of furniture individually. Upholstery is protected with individual covers and we can pack your clothes into portable wardrobes.
