Britannia Lanes has become a byword for quality moving, storing and shipping in the Somerset and Bristol area and have, as a result, been finalists in the British Association of Removers Domestic Mover of the Year for the last 2 years running.

Today, the depot at Somerset comprises of over 14,000 sq ft of storage, employs 14 staff, runs 7 vehicles and has two self drive vans for hire.

The Somerset Branch of Britannia Lanes offers:

Along with our sister branches in Cornwall, Devon and Bristol, Britannia Lanes are well placed to help you with moving to Somerset from anywhere in South West England or beyond.

The Bridgwater branch is run by family member and director Maria Russell (was Lane) FCCA and her husband Angus Russell.

Maria has celebrated 15 years being back in the industry having returned from London where she was a Financial Director for companies in the City of London. Ria is a committee member for the local area of the British Association of Removers and is a keen Rugby fan, which has lead to the support of Bridgwater and Albion Rugby Football Club (www.barfc.co.uk) whom the company sponsor.

In addition to jointly running the branch, Angus also runs the training side of the business and offers removal specific drivers CPC courses in association with BAR

Andy Collier joined us in 2017 as Operations Manager at the site.

Kate Prosser started with the company in 2008 and is our company administrator. Kate looks after the day-to-day running of the office, producing quotation and liaising with clients and staff alike.

In 2008, as a result of expansion, Andreas Johannesen joined the company in a sales role and is the first face from Britannia Lanes that our clients meet. The role is vital to the company and our clients as it is his job to assess the volume to be moved, ascertain any access issues and allay any fears that our clients may have about the removal.

As you can tell, Britannia Lanes of Somerset Removals and storage retains the family run traditions that the company has always had.

You are welcome to visit the Somerset depot. Just call to arrange an appointment or drop in and see us.
