Prepare for your appointment

At the arranged time of the survey our surveyor will text or email you an appointment link. Please click on the link. You will then see a message asking you for permission to use your camera and microphone during the survey. Once you agree to this the app will automatically connect you to our surveyor.

During your video survey, our surveyor will need to see all of the items that you will be moving. Here are a few simple things that you can do, prior to your appointment, that will help us to conduct the video survey as efficiently as possible:

• Fully charge your mobile phone or tablet
• Connect to your wifi network, if not available it is possible to use 3G or 4G phone network
• Be prepared to open up all wardrobes and cabinets and drawers, especially in the kitchen
• Be prepared to turn on all lights
• Have ladder access and a light to the loft or attic space

• Arrange the day and time for the survey
• Download the app
• Complete the service specification form
• On the day and time of the survey open our email and click on the link

A video survey is a very convenient way to get a removal quotation. It's quick, highly accurate and most customers receive a quotation on the same day. During the survey we will ask you a few questions about the services you require such as if you would like us to do the packing and if you have any valuable or sentimental items that need special packing. Images of special items can be captured during the survey, which helps the packing crews understand your requirements. As you walk around each of the rooms our surveyor will use our inventory system, which automatically calculate the volume as each item is entered. After the survey we can discuss a timetable with you.

Now download the app and complete our service specification form, please see the links below. This is not a daunting as it sounds and probably with take you less than 10 minutes to complete. Please see our step by step process below.

Download the Shyft Moving app

Please click on one of the links below to download the Shyft Moving app. Click on the green install button. You will need your Apple Password. Once installed, which will take about 30 seconds or so, it will give you the option to OPEN. Click on this. A pop up will ask you to allow access to the camera and microphone. Click OK. At the arrange time of the survey I will text or email you a link to join me to carry out the survey. The App will automatically sync our devices and then we should then be able to carry out a video survey.

Service Specification

Please now complete the service specification form, this should take you no longer than 5 mins, it’s just information such as name, address, contact details and a few tick box questions, such as your packing requirements. After completing the form click on the submit button.
